Job Title: Supplier Quality Lead

Gordon Murray Group is a UK-based global luxury brand dedicated to creating and manufacturing the world's greatest driving cars. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing ultra-exclusive cars that provide unrivalled driving experiences and driver-centric connection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement supplier quality strategies to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality parts delivery throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to identify and address quality issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct on-site audits and assessments to verify supplier capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality plans, including APQP, PPAP, and 8D processes, to ensure supplier quality and reliability.
  • Manage and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, including PPM, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and issue resolution.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in engineering, science, or numerical discipline.
  • Experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, or a related field, with a proven track record of meeting customer needs and driving quality improvements.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including powertrain, and experience with quality integration into project delivery processes.
  • External auditor experience, ideally qualified to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
