Electrical Control Systems Engineer - Manufacturing

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in PLC programming and design? As a result of ongoing expansion and the acquisition of significant contracts, our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to serve as the primary expert for all control system-related responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will engage in the production, modification, and maintenance of electrical and electronic control systems. You will be working with top-tier, customized equipment within a cutting-edge manufacturing environment. Comprehensive product training will be provided.

You will collaborate with prestigious clients across highly regulated engineering sectors, including Aerospace, Automotive, Nuclear, and Marine.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a driven individual eager to advance their career within a well-respected company at the forefront of its industry. You will have the chance to boost your earning potential through overtime, compensated at 1.5 times the standard rate on weekdays and Saturday mornings, with double time on Saturday afternoons and Sundays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production, modification, and maintenance of electrical and electronic control systems
  • System and software design
  • Utilizing CAD to create or amend schematics
  • Providing technical support to the engineering team
  • Prototyping and testing
  • Project management

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in electrical or electronic engineering
  • Experience in designing and programming control systems
  • Aspiration to develop into a lead engineering role and become the primary controls engineer
  • Reside within a reasonable commuting distance
