Electrical Engineer - PLC Controls Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in PLC programming and design to join our team in Taunton. As a PLC Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for the manufacture, modification, and repair of electrical/electronic control systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical/electronic engineering and experience in designing and programming control systems. You will be working on first-class, bespoke equipment within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Taunton. Full product training will be provided.

You will be working with high-profile clients across various regulated engineering sectors, including Aerospace, Automotive, Nuclear, and Marine. The role involves:

  1. Manufacture, modification, and repair of electrical/electronic control systems
  2. System and software design
  3. Using CAD to create or amend schematics
  4. Providing technical support to the engineering team
  5. Prototyping
  6. Testing
  7. Project management

Requirements:

  1. Holds a relevant qualification in electrical/electronic engineering
  2. Experience designing and programming control systems
  3. Interested in developing into a lead engineering role within the business
  4. Lives a commutable distance from Taunton
