Control Systems Engineer - Manufacturing Sector

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in PLC programming and design? This is an opportunity to work with a leading manufacturing firm that values professional development and offers external training to help you advance into senior engineering positions.

Due to ongoing expansion and the acquisition of significant contracts, our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to become the primary expert for all control system-related activities within the organization.

The successful applicant will engage in the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of electrical and electronic control systems. You will be working with top-tier, customized equipment in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment. Comprehensive product training will be provided.

You will collaborate with prestigious clients across highly regulated engineering sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, Nuclear, and Marine.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a driven individual looking to elevate their career within a well-respected company at the forefront of its industry. You will have the chance to boost your earnings through overtime, compensated at x1.5 on weekdays and Saturday mornings, with double time for Saturday afternoons and Sundays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation, enhancement, and maintenance of electrical and electronic control systems
  • System and software design
  • Utilizing CAD to develop or amend schematics
  • Providing technical assistance to the engineering team
  • Prototyping and testing
  • Project management

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in electrical or electronic engineering
  • Experience in designing and programming control systems
  • Aspiration to progress into a lead engineering role and become the primary controls engineer
  • Residing within a reasonable commuting distance

This position is ideal for those with a background in electrical fitting, engineering, panel installation, service, vehicle maintenance, PLC wiring, and related fields.
