About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safeguarding and Welfare Advisor to join our team at The Bedford College Group. As a key member of our staff, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide impartial, pastoral advice to students and prospective students on safeguarding and welfare matters.
  • Identify and alleviate safeguarding and welfare barriers to enable students to access education.
  • Collaborate with staff and students to provide advice and support on child protection and vulnerable adults.
  • Ensure excellent customer care for all learners and internal/external customers.
  • Maintain accurate safeguarding records and work closely with support agencies.
  • Embed TBCG culture and values in all aspects of the role.
  • Ensure the student experience is at the heart of everything we do.
About You
  • Effective team collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivating and developing teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
  • Proficient in writing formal and informal letters.
  • Professional telephone etiquette and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in a busy Student Welfare environment.
  • L2 English and maths.
  • Level 3 Qualification in a relevant subject.
  • IT Qualification Level 2.
  • First aid at work (or willing to work towards).
