Child Welfare Specialist

Rate: £50 per hour
Role: We are seeking qualified and seasoned Child Welfare Specialists to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. Your primary responsibility will be to implement effective and timely collaborative actions aimed at enhancing the welfare of at-risk children.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate multi-agency meetings with partner organizations, focusing on information sharing and reviews concerning children in need and those requiring protection.
- Utilize gathered data to conduct risk assessments based on the severity of risk and necessity, determining the most suitable interventions for the identified needs of children.
- Regularly evaluate the quality and effectiveness of information sharing and professional judgment regarding the appropriate responses for children needing early assistance or social work-led evaluations and support.
- Provide leadership and professional oversight to the Social Care Professionals within the MASH team, including performance management and developmental activities to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Offer specialized guidance to staff, encompassing individual case advice, professional responsibility protocols, and legal obligations.
