We offer tailored clinical placement opportunities within our mental health and learning disability services, designed to provide a high-quality return to practice experience.
Your Career Journey with Us
After reviewing your application, you'll have a dedicated career discussion with one of our AHP leads. This conversation will help us understand your preferences and tailor a placement that aligns with your goals and expertise.
Essential Requirements for Returning Professionals
To ensure a smooth transition back into practice, we have specific requirements based on the length of time you've been out of the field:
- 0-2 Years Out of Practice: If you've been away from practice for 2 years or less, simply apply for vacancies through NHS Jobs and ensure your registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is current.
- 2-5 Years Out of Practice: You'll need to dedicate 30 days to updating your skills. This can include private study (not exceeding 50% of the time) and re-registering with the HCPC.
- 5+ Years Out of Practice: A commitment of 60 days is required for skill updates, again incorporating private study (no more than 50%) and re-registration with the HCPC.
