About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Writer to join our team at Emcor UK. As a Bid Writer, you will play a critical role in developing compelling proposals that showcase our company's expertise and value proposition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive response plans that support the development of compliant and compelling proposals.
  • Ensure all bids are accurately completed and represent the company's experience, capability, and value proposition.
  • Liaise with awarding authorities regarding any clarifications or amendments to tender documentation.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather information and transform technical content into clear and concise prose.
  • Support the Bid Manager and Solutions Director in developing sales messaging and 'win themes' that reflect the business's value proposition.
  • Develop a deep understanding of awarding authorities' vision, strategy, and plans to maximize new business generation opportunities.
  • Support the Bid Manager in executing key proposal governance reviews and proposal management activities.
  • Configure and manage the collaborative working environment (SharePoint).
  • Play a leading role in maintaining the bid content re-use library and ensuring it remains current and fit for purpose.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase EMCOR's win rates.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in delivering Hard FM and/or TFM Bids in Public & Private sector.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills to interface with subject matter experts and senior operators.
  • Strong understanding of bid writing best practices and the principles of Facilities Management Procurements.
  • High attention to detail with excellent editing and proofing skills.
  • Excellent literacy skills with a strong vocabulary.
  • Possibly a journalism background.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Proven capability of bid writing work winning, multi-million pound product or complex services opportunities.
