About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our estimating and sales teams at EMCOR UK. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to our targets and company objectives, working on renewals and new opportunities within our Mission Critical Solutions portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct accurate building estimates for a range of projects within the MCS portfolio
  • Propose innovative solutions to deliver client requirements
  • Use your industry knowledge to stay up-to-date with competitors' methodologies
  • Provide information and prepare proposal submissions, including solution and option appraisal of new methods of project delivery
  • Proactively improve communications, management procedures, and systems to maximize profitability and operational efficiencies
  • Manage the implementation of best practices and common practices across the division
  • Obtain specialist subcontractor costs
  • Read and understand client requests and documentation
  • Attend site visits as required across the UK as part of the bid process
  • Assist in the production of correspondence and documentation
  • Update the Pipeline Reporting System and contribute to the generation of BD Management information reports
  • Progress submitted tenders
  • Assist in the formulation of tender returns
  • Establish agreed benchmarks for performance
  • Measure performance versus contracted requirements
  • Identify cost-saving initiatives in line with contractual obligations
  • Interact with client organizations as required, providing meaningful reports and proactive data and information
Requirements
  • Education to HNC/HND standard (or equivalent)
  • Ideal experience in Data Centre projects
  • Excellent time management
  • Relevant experience of estimating within a main contractor
  • Proficient IT skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Must have a driving license to travel to sites
