Position Overview:

We are in search of a meticulous and driven Senior Finance Officer to become a part of our finance team. The Senior Finance Officer will assist the finance department with daily financial operations, ensuring precision and effectiveness in all tasks. This position necessitates experience in handling multiple currencies, including dollars, euros, and pounds.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts across various currencies.
  • Support stock record maintenance and reporting.
  • Process approved employee expense claims.
  • Facilitate weekly payment processing and VAT returns for the EU/UK.
  • Reconcile monthly sales invoices and manage the fixed asset register.
  • Perform financial due diligence on prospective suppliers and assess outstanding purchase orders.
  • Oversee prepayment schedules and coordinate product swap transactions.
  • Prepare accrual schedules and ensure P&L and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Allocate invoices for product suppliers and related expenses.
  • Generate weekly commercial reports and conduct variance analysis.
  • Engage in financial analysis and assist with forecasting efforts.
  • Maintain precise financial records and documentation.
  • Assist the finance team with various administrative responsibilities as needed.

Desired Experience:
  • Prior experience in a finance assistant role.
  • Familiarity with handling multiple currencies (dollars, euros, pounds).
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Professional demeanor, capable of managing conflict and pressure.
  • Proficiency in databases, Excel (intermediate level), Word, and Sage accounting software.
  • A positive attitude towards learning and skill development.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in a high-performing finance team.
  • Familiarity with Sage 50, Navision, Excel, and Word.
  • AAT Qualification.
