Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Our client school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support two pupils with Autism. The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide individualized support and create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the classroom teacher in delivering tailored support to SEN pupils.
  2. Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities that cater to the needs of children with Autism.
  3. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing constructive feedback to teachers and parents.
  4. Provide one-on-one support to children with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  5. Communicate effectively with pupils, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Previous experience working within a classroom as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.
  3. Knowledge: Understanding of Autism and strategies for supporting pupils with this condition.
  4. Desirable: Experience working with children in a school setting.
