About the Role

Cumming Group UK & Europe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bid Manager to join our team in Cardiff. As a key member of our marketing team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business growth and expansion across Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging content for tender and bid submissions
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, operations, and consultants to lead the proposal process
  • Prepare customized collateral and statements of qualifications (SOQs) as required throughout the sales process
  • Collaborate with senior directors and business leaders to develop strategic plans to deliver company goals
  • Participate in regular meetings and contribute to the development of plans to win major new client or project pursuits
  • Proposal development, interview coaching, and preparation support
  • Help ensure bid activity is tracked in CRM or shared tracking system
  • Work with operations and business development teams to prepare client presentations
  • Participate in client debriefs around lost pursuits and identify lessons learned to increase win rates
  • Support the collection and input of project, team member, and boilerplate proposal information into company databases
Requirements
  • Previous experience in writing and editing proposal content and tender submissions
  • 5+ years business development experience in the built environment sector
  • Built environment and infrastructure construction knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of bid and proposal processes within the built environment sector
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with different teams
  • Experience in leading storyboarding sessions
  • Multiple project management of bids in parallel with the ability to prioritize and delegate
  • Broad IT skills with an eye for design and impactful presentation
