Position Overview

We are pleased to announce a vacancy for a Coordinator within the Anaesthetic Administration Team at our institution.

We seek a dedicated and proactive individual to take on the role of Anaesthetic Services Coordination Specialist.

The successful candidate will oversee outpatient Anaesthetic review sessions, managing all administrative responsibilities from the point of referral through to patient discharge.

Please ensure you can provide evidence of the required qualifications, as you will be expected to present these at your ID check appointment if successful.

Key Responsibilities

The position requires direct communication with Consultant Anaesthetists and various stakeholders, including administrative and management personnel from surgical departments. Therefore, experience in customer relations and strong communication abilities are highly valued in this role. This role is both challenging and fulfilling, necessitating the ability to work collaboratively within a team while effectively prioritizing and managing tasks. If you are an organized individual who thrives on challenges and enjoys maintaining a busy schedule, this position may be ideal for you. Regular travel between sites will be necessary to meet service demands and ensure familiarity with the clinics across different locations.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate within a team to ensure continuous coverage, maintaining essential services across multiple sites. Actively engage in sharing knowledge and skills within the clinic team associated with each specialty, promoting best practices throughout the organization. Participate in training sessions and meetings to keep skills and knowledge current and relevant to the position. Complete all mandatory training as required by the Clinical Management Group/Trust. Undertake any additional duties that align with the role and service requirements.

Candidate Profile

Education

Essential

Minimum of GCSE level qualifications in English and Mathematics.

Desirable

NVQ/Diploma qualifications. Experience with HISS. Familiarity with Track It.

Experience

Essential

Proven experience in customer service.

Desirable

Previous experience within the NHS. Proficiency in typing.

Skills

Essential

Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Desirable

Experience in handling complaints.
