The Team:
You will be welcomed into a team led by a dedicated Manager with over 15 years of experience in the logistics sector, specifically in road freight. This expert is enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and fostering growth within the team.

Office Environment:
The office is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring A-grade facilities filled with natural light. Located in Ashford, Middlesex, this position is perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life while still enjoying local amenities.

Compensation:
Salary up to £35,000

Working Hours:
9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to oversee operations in air and road freight while nurturing client relationships. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing their shipments and expectations with a comprehensive approach.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the entire shipment process from start to finish, including quoting, booking, and monitoring deliveries.
2. Maintain service standards for existing accounts.
3. Select the most suitable carriers to optimize profitability.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth cargo movement.
5. Stay informed about market trends to maintain competitiveness.
6. Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients, including occasional site visits.
7. Identify upselling opportunities to enhance profit margins.
8. Conduct regular check-ins with customers.
9. Manage a personal portfolio of work.
10. Provide weekend and out-of-hours coverage as needed.
11. Ensure timely customs clearance and coordinate with the customs bureau for road shipments.
