Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged within the Gynaecology Team at the Women's Centre for the role of Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator.

This position is designed to support the successful candidate through a structured competency framework, allowing progression from a Band to a higher Band level.

The ideal applicant will be well-organized, adaptable, and a strong team player. Exceptional customer service skills and a willingness to learn are essential for expanding their responsibilities and advancing within the pay scale.

Additionally, the candidate must be open to covering a day-a-week service as needed.

Main Responsibilities

The individual in this role will be responsible for providing cross-cover within the Gynaecology Administrative team, as directed by the Team Leader, based on daily service requirements.

Patient administration is crucial to the patient journey and plays a significant role in supporting clinical teams to deliver high-quality care, ultimately enhancing the patient experience. Efficient patient administration ensures a high standard of data quality and optimizes the use of resources.

The post holder will assist in delivering a professional, comprehensive, and efficient administrative service to all patients and department members. This includes supporting both clinical and administrative teams in providing a thorough administrative service. Key tasks will involve managing waiting lists, validating pathways for specialties in line with the Elective Access Policy, adhering to Cancer waiting time targets, and communicating appointment and admission-related information to patients and caregivers.
