What We Provide:

  • Competitive hourly rate starting at £14.46, based on experience.
  • £66 per sleep-in shift, typically covering six nights per month.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Residential Care Worker:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each young person, addressing their care, educational, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
  • Maintain appropriate supervision and control over children and young people at all times.
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior staff members in delivering consistent, high-quality care aligned with the home's standards and objectives.
  • Assist the management team in upholding policies, procedures, and record-keeping practices, ensuring resources are utilized effectively.
  • Work various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and sleep-ins, as well as during weekends and holidays, both at the homes and during residential outings.
  • Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders, such as local authorities and educational institutions, to advocate for and promote the welfare of children and young people, striving for the best outcomes for our residents.
  • Foster a workplace culture that values every team member's contributions and actively opposes discrimination in any form.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.
Essential Qualifications
  • Proven experience in children's residential care settings or similar environments is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead shifts and manage teams effectively.
  • Senior positions require Level 3/4 qualifications in Residential Childcare or equivalent credentials.
  • Candidates must be available for full-time work (40 hours/week), including sleep-ins and potential short residential trips.
  • Applicants must possess a valid manual driving license.
