Job Title: Addiction Counsellor

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Addiction Counsellor to join our team in Barnsley on a full-time basis.

About the Role:

This permanent Addiction Counsellor position offers a competitive salary of £18,803 - £27,100 per annum.

As an Addiction Counsellor, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals who are struggling with substance misuse, providing them with the support and guidance they need to overcome their addiction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct assessments of clients and provide counselling on substance use and its impact.
  2. Develop and deliver therapeutic support programmes to help individuals address their substance use and related behaviours.
  3. Collaborate with probation officers and healthcare professionals to conduct regular client reviews.
  4. Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients to help them achieve their recovery goals.
What We're Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced Addiction Counsellor who has at least two years of direct client work experience, with at least one year specifically in a therapeutic setting.

You will have a counselling qualification and experience in developing and delivering therapeutic support programmes.

You will also have a flexible and open approach to client care, with a commitment to high standards.
