Clinical Forensic Psychologist Part-time Position

The Enhanced Support Service (ESS) is a pioneering service model that provides intensive support to prisoners and staff using a tailored, psychologically informed approach. Our goal is to mitigate the negative impact of violent, suicidal, and disruptive behaviour in prisons.
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to work in partnership across prisons, healthcare, probation, and psychology services. The successful candidate will provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy, as well as offer advice and consultation on prisoners' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and other non-professional carers.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy
- Provide advice and consultation on prisoners' psychological care
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures
- Ensure that outcome data is gathered and produce audits/evaluations to demonstrate the efficacy of the Service
- Doctoral-level training in clinical psychology or forensic psychology
- Experience of working with offenders
- Ability to work independently within a framework
- Knowledge of the theory and practice of highly specialised psychological therapies and assessment methodologies

The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that works intensively with prisoners and staff to provide a psychologically informed environment that can best support the prisoners and their needs.
Additional Responsibilities:- Utilise research skills for audit, policy, and service development and research within the area served by Northamptonshire NHS Foundation Trust
- Work alongside prison and health colleagues in the provision of personality disordered offender services within HMP Peterborough
- Include assessments and case management, advice, consultation, and training
- Take responsibility for collaborating with an evaluation of the service
