Job Title: Clinical / Counselling / Forensic Psychologist - Part time

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children and young people, including psychometric tests, self-report measures, and structured observations.
  • Develop and implement psychologically informed formulations and interventions, taking into account the individual's unique needs and circumstances.
  • Provide consultation and advice to other professionals involved in the child's care, including healthcare and social care professionals.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement risk management plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of the child and others.
  • Contribute to the development of service policies and procedures, ensuring they are evidence-based and effective in meeting the needs of children and young people.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate/Doctorate level qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health needs, including those with forensic or risk-related issues.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological theories and models, including lifespan developmental psychology, psychopathology, and clinical psychometrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families, as well as other professionals.
  • Ability to travel independently across the East of England region.
