About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Reconciliations Specialist to join our Investment Operations team at British International Investment. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing a target operating model for reconciliations, including reviewing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a target operating model for reconciliations, including reviewing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct cash and share reconciliations, working closely with the Portfolio Administration team to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Identify and implement tactical changes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of existing reconciliations, including changes to booking practices.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences, working closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure their requirements are understood and taken into account.
Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to investigate reconciliation differences and identify the appropriate individual or team for resolution.
  • Expert knowledge of reconciliation systems and how they interact with other systems.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and expertise of key product attributes across product types, including applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Expert ability to navigate Excel and understand complex transactions.
  • Understanding of Portfolio Management Systems (ideally eFront) and ability to resolve discrepancies that may arise.
