Job Summary
Sewell Wallis is seeking a highly skilled Finance Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a central role in maintaining client and matter data integrity, vetting new client and matter requests, and prioritizing workstreams to ensure seamless processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and matter data within the billing system, including hourly charge-out rates for fee earners.
- Vet new client and matter requests against risk and compliance, finance, and client-specific rules to ensure accurate and timely data transfer.
- Prioritize workstreams using a ticketing system to meet team and firm service level agreements.
- Liaise with partners, fee earners, and other finance functions globally to facilitate a seamless process from client/matter inception to billing and cash collection.
- Assist the commercial finance team in maintaining panel rate agreements with key clients and conducting yearly rate increases to ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with data teams to cleanse the billing system of historical inaccurate or duplicated data.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Solid understanding of basic math and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate monetary amounts.
- Ability to analyze data, identify errors, and trends, and make informed decisions.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize workload to meet service level agreements.
- Desire to ask questions, think critically, and suggest process improvements.
- Willingness to perform routine data cleansing tasks.
- Confidence in making decisions and taking responsibility for them.
