We are seeking a dedicated Service Leader for our women's refuge, a vital role for someone who is passionate about advocating for the rights of women and their children.
Role Overview: This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a leader to oversee and manage a refuge facility that supports women and children who have experienced domestic violence, many of whom are dealing with trauma.
Service Purpose: The refuge provides a crucial safe haven and support system, empowering women on their journey to recovery and fostering their independence, resilience, and skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a service that encompasses multiple facilities, developing a team of support mentors and family workers.
- Ensure the delivery of a high-quality, trauma-informed service to residents.
- Maintain compliance with all contractual and regulatory standards while serving as a role model for your team.
- Participate in an on-call service to provide support outside of regular hours.
Working Hours: This role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, with potential for additional hours as needed.

- Experience in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring effective service delivery.

- Financial management experience, including budget oversight and cost control.
- Knowledge of housing management principles, including voids and evictions.
- Familiarity with key legislation related to equity, diversity, mental health, and social care.
