Volunteer Mentor at Seetec Business Technology Centre

Become a Volunteer Mentor at Seetec Business Technology Centre and take on a vital role in assisting the individuals we serve. Our primary aim is to facilitate access to housing and accommodation for men aged 18 and older. We are dedicated to ensuring that everyone has the chance to create a brighter future, irrespective of their previous experiences or obstacles they may encounter.

We seek individuals who have firsthand experience with the Criminal Justice System and are eager to contribute positively to the community. The ideal candidate will possess empathy, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to foster meaningful connections with our participants. You will offer personalized support, promote engagement, and aid participants in their personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany participants to their appointments
  • Deliver both practical and emotional assistance
  • Encourage adherence to probation requirements
  • Assist participants in exploring employment opportunities
Skills and Experience
  • Exhibit empathy and confidentiality
  • Communicate effectively in both spoken and written forms
  • Keep precise records
  • Assert authority when necessary
