We are excited to offer a remarkable hybrid working opportunity for a seasoned Employee Relations Specialist (People Services Specialist) to join us on our ongoing journey of genuine nourishment.

The Role |

This position will provide support to our restaurant teams on various employee relations matters and collaborate with the people team on essential projects and processes.

Key Responsibilities |

  • Overseeing employee relations by offering guidance and coaching to managers on addressing personnel issues.
  • Leading employee relations procedures, including disciplinary actions, grievances, probation assessments, and flexible working arrangements.
  • Collaborating closely with the broader people team to identify training needs for managers and facilitate upskilling sessions for restaurant management teams.
  • Managing our people services help desk and HR chatbot, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
  • Assisting with benefits inquiries and processing benefits for new employees.
  • Coordinating employee lifecycle administration alongside the people development administrator for both new and existing staff.
  • Supporting the formulation of new people policies and updating existing ones.
  • Conducting analysis and reporting on periodic employee relations data, engaging with people business partners and other key stakeholders to review insights on significant themes and trends.
  • Assisting with early conciliation notifications or employment tribunal matters, working in tandem with wagamama's employment lawyers to provide case-related documentation and insights.

What We Look For |

  • Proven experience in managing a high volume of employee relations cases across various levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of investigation processes, disciplinary actions, grievance handling, absence management, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of employment law and policy compliance/best practices.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and exhibit a sense of urgency in resolving issues.
  • Experience in generalist people-related processes, practices, and administration.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification is desirable.
