Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse Outpatients Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join our Outpatient and Pre-Assessment Team at Spencer Private Hospitals Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality individualized care to patients undergoing Pre-Admission Assessment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality individualized care to patients while their Pre-Admission Assessment is undertaken.
- Actively participate and contribute to the running of the Pre-Assessment Unit.
- Promote Health and Well-being for patients and their families, working alongside the OPD Manager and OPD Sister.
- Be responsible for the professional standards of care within the unit while on duty, ensuring that nursing practice is in line with standards laid down within the NMC Codes, The Code, and other mandatory and organisational standards.
- Proven experience in a surgical ward/outpatient environment with a broad knowledge and understanding of specialist surgical procedures.
- Practical pre-assessment knowledge and skills.
- Knowledge of ASA Grading.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent employee relations track record.
- Commitment to professional development.
- Ability to work independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Up-to-date knowledge of professional nursing issues within multi-specialist fields.
- Performance and competence in Venepuncture and Observations, ECGs, and relevant diagnostics.
- Good working knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook.
- Good time management skills.
- Flexible and tactful.
- Caring and friendly personality.
- Able to cope under pressure.
- Ability to act as a role model for best practice.
- Supportive to staff and committed to staff development.
- Committed to providing a quality clinical service.
- Registered Nurse 1st level.
- Proven experience post registration/equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continual professional development.
- Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent) grade C or above.
