Position Overview

We are seeking to appoint an Environmental Services Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. This role involves providing essential cleaning and maintenance services across various healthcare settings, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Coordinator will be tasked with:

  • Executing comprehensive cleaning duties in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Adhering to infection control standards and health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Following designated cleaning schedules to maintain high cleanliness standards in all areas.
  • Reporting any incidents or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensuring proper storage and maintenance of cleaning equipment and reporting any malfunctions.
  • Disposing of waste responsibly and in line with organizational policies.
  • Participating in mandatory training sessions, including fire safety and infection control.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in cleaning services, with knowledge of COSHH and color coding.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Strong communication skills and reliability.

Desirable:

  • Formal qualifications in cleaning or related training.
  • Experience with NHS cleaning standards.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Good IT skills and effective communication abilities.
