About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Expert to join our team at MaxAd Fixed Fee Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and expanding our client's sustainability programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of our client's sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in mapping out current supply chains and calculating product life cycle assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with suppliers to measure and improve their sustainability performance, ensuring alignment with our client's strategy.
  • Help identify and implement operational changes to reduce core business carbon emissions, focusing on supply chain and procurement processes, operational efficiency, and day-to-day business activities.
  • Support the development of business processes to streamline environmental data management and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry ESG legislation and stay up-to-date on relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Perform impact assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate ESG risks related to supply chains and products.
  • Provide business-wide support to ensure sustainability is considered when adopting new products, materials, or suppliers.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in the textiles industry.
  • Passion for sustainability and a strong understanding of Environmental Social Governance.
  • Experience in capturing and measuring scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data.
  • Data literate and detail-oriented, with excellent analytical skills.
  • Previous experience working closely with third parties, such as suppliers, service providers, and data services.
  • Previous experience of or exposure to corporate compliance accreditations, such as Bcorp, EcoVadis, Fair Wear Foundation, etc.
  • Ideally, a relevant commercial, ESG, or sustainability-related degree qualification.
