We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in Residential Childcare. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our children's homes, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our service users.
Key Responsibilities:- Build strong relationships with service users, parents, and carers to promote independence, wellbeing, and social/emotional skills.
- Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and other professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
- Conduct staff supervisions and provide guidance and support to ensure the team is equipped to meet the needs of our service users.
- Support the Registered Manager with audits and other duties as required.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
- Hold OR be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's services.
- Have at least 1 year supervisory and shift leader experience in a Children's Residential setting.
- Have knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards of Children's homes.
- Have knowledge and experience of recording and reporting to enable safeguarding and protection of children & young people.
