DACH AP Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AP Specialist to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of our AP team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our DACH business partners, ensuring timely payment of invoices, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for DACH business partners, resolving AP process queries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and manage critical vendor invoice and payment processes to ensure on-time payment and compliance with internal controls.
- Collaborate with the service provider to resolve issues and drive improvements in agreed KPIs.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide timely feedback on issues to ensure continuous process improvement.
- Manage and drive process change and improvements, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Oversight of the team to ensure adherence to agreed policies and practices.
- Lead the resolution of supplier reconciliation issues and process ad hoc payments as needed.
- Provide cash flow forecast information and submit internal funding requests.
- Monitor internal control compliance for all processes within remit.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in AP, preferably in a multi-currency, multi-country environment.
- Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with ERP systems, especially Oracle or similar, and computer literacy with Microsoft Office products.
- Proactive self-starter with the ability and willingness to address problems and drive process improvements.
- Desirable: good understanding of VAT and experience in a similar role.
