Job Title: DACH AP Accountant

Your new company is seeking a highly skilled DACH AP Accountant to join their team in Bristol. As a key member of the accounting team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to the DACH business, ensuring timely and accurate processing of AP transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for DACH business AP process queries and issues, working closely with the service provider to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Monitor critical vendor invoice and payment processes to ensure timely payment and compliance with agreed KPIs.
  • Drive improvements in AP processes, identifying areas for optimization and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform root cause analysis and reporting for issues, providing timely and relevant feedback to stakeholders.
  • Manage and drive process change and improvements, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Oversight of the team to ensure adherence to agreed policies and practices, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Lead the resolution of supplier reconciliation issues, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
  • Process ad hoc payments as needed, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Provide cash flow forecast information and submit internal funding requests, supporting business growth and development.
  • Monitor internal control compliance for all processes within remit, ensuring robust governance and risk management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in AP, with a strong understanding of AP processes and procedures.
  • Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a multi-currency, multi-country environment, with a strong understanding of international accounting standards.
  • Computer literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ERP systems, particularly Oracle or similar.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability and willingness to address problems and drive improvements.
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Desirable:
  • Good understanding of VAT, with experience in managing VAT-related processes and procedures.
