Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 registered nurse to join the Adult Stoma Care Nurses (SCN) Team to deliver a high-quality, effective, and forward-thinking stoma care service based at Nottingham University Hospitals, covering across campuses. Both full-time and part-time working patterns will be considered.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nursing interventions to achieve and maintain the highest standards of stoma care within the hospital and outpatient setting.
  • Be responsible for delivering a high-quality, effective, and forward-thinking stoma care service.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of stoma care policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • First-level registered nurse with evidence of post-registration experience and professional development.
  • Relevant specialist knowledge and skills in stoma care and colorectal pathway.
  • Ability to be flexible and organized in the workplace.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and recognize and respond to urgent situations.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use Office programs.
