About the Role

Fitzwilliam Hospital, a leading independent hospital in Cambridgeshire, is seeking a highly motivated Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Pre-Operative Assessment team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing individualized patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients undergoing surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments to identify potential risks and develop personalized care plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote informed decision-making and empowerment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Registered with the NMC
  • Registered nursing qualification or equivalent
  • Recent post-qualification surgical experience
  • Experience of a team approach to care delivery
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills
  • Demonstrated Computer Skills
