About the Role
Ambulatory care is an innovative way of providing a safe, patient-focused, flexible, same-day emergency service for appropriate patients. The service aims to prevent unnecessary hospital admission and provide a better patient experience. Our Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) offers easy access to early diagnostic tests, specialist staff, and review by a hospital consultant in one place.
We are looking for exceptional, committed, caring, and compassionate Band 6 Deputy Sister/Deputy Charge Nurse to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will be forward-thinking, proactive, and motivated to assist in providing the highest standard of care to our patients possible whilst treating our patients with dignity, compassion, and respect. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work within the ACU team.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Ambulatory Care Unit.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Supervise and support junior nursing staff.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
Skills and Experience Required
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience in a similar role within an acute setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
