We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Charge Nurse / Sister to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses to provide high-quality patient care and achieve excellent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of nurses to deliver outstanding patient care and achieve high standards of clinical practice.
- Develop and implement effective nursing strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and achieve shared goals.
- Support the Ward Manager in managing the ward's resources, including staff, budget, and equipment.
- Contribute to the development of nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a surgical ward setting.
- Excellent clinical and leadership skills, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, patients, and families.
