Position Overview:

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a dedicated Conveyancing Legal Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for providing comprehensive assistance in a fast-paced conveyancing setting.


Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:15 PM


Compensation:

Annual Salary: £24,000 (negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with an experienced legal professional, managing a diverse caseload that includes:

  • Addressing inquiries from clients, solicitors, lenders, and estate agents through various communication channels.
  • Documenting all interactions with detailed attendance notes.
  • Managing the opening and closing of files within our Case Management System (CMS).
  • Collecting client instructions and conducting necessary compliance checks.
  • Updating files in the CMS with all relevant correspondence.
  • Adhering to GDPR and SRA regulations while following internal procedures.
  • Providing administrative support, including photocopying and scanning.
  • Preparing client quotes and drafting completion statements.
  • Requesting mortgage redemption figures and advances.
  • Assisting the fee earner in preparing reports on title, mortgage, and searches.
  • Issuing sale contracts and responding to inquiries regarding freehold and leasehold properties.
  • Ordering online searches and coordinating completion arrangements.
  • Handling post-completion administration tasks.
  • Drafting AP1 forms and utilizing the Land Registry portal for submissions.
  • Calculating and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax applications.
  • Preparing and submitting financial documents to the finance team.


Qualifications:

A background in a conveyancing department is essential for this role.
