About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special school in the High Peak area. The successful candidate will provide support to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, working closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs in small groups and one-to-one settings
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to implement and progress Individual Education Plans
  • Liaise with outside professionals and parents as required
  • Report on progress and incidents
  • Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to pay for a new one)
  • Minimum of two professional references
  • CV with full education and work history
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Experience supporting children with special needs
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
