Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students in an AP setting.
  • Monitor and assess pupils development against individual targets.
  • Manage and professionally report on classroom behaviours or incidents.
  • Adapt teaching methods to maximise each pupil's learning potential.
  • Mark and assess classwork and homework assignments.
  • Maintain professional communication with staff members and parents.

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching upper or lower Key Stage 1 pupils.
  • Strong communication skills with staff and parents.
  • Ability to liaise with the safeguarding team in a professional manner.
  • A genuine passion for motivating and developing pupils learning in an alternative provision environment.
  • Full-time availability during term time.
  • Competency in marking pupil's work and setting relevant targets.
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Eligibility Criteria:

  • To be considered for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years.
