Role Overview:

As a key member of the JD Sports Junior Management team, you will provide critical support and guidance to ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained across your section. Your role will involve assisting in the supervision of all staff, maintaining shop floor standards, and handling daily managerial tasks as directed by Store Management.

Customer Service Expectations:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure customer complaints are handled efficiently, providing a positive outcome.
  • Maintain a high level of personal appearance for sales staff, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Understand and contribute to the Customer Service measuring program.

Sales Performance:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, utilizing in-store devices to showcase the full product range.
  • Monitor staff service levels to maximize store sales, leveraging reports for informed product placement decisions.

Visual Merchandising and Store Standards:

  • Attract and engage customers through effective visual techniques, driving sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards on the sales floor, ensuring stock is clean and presentable at all times.
  • Assist with the development of existing staff, ensuring they complete relevant E-Assessments.

Training and Development:

  • Encourage personal progression within the store, providing support for new starters and existing staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail supervisor experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent time management skills and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.

Please note: This position is not suited for young workers (under 18). In line with the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act 1996, young workers are not permitted to work between 10:00pm and 6:00am. Between 10:00pm and 6:00am, employees are paid a premium rate of pay.
