Airport Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Security Officer to join our team at Wilson James. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth transition of passengers, staff, and airport personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Passenger Screening: Conduct thorough security checks on all passengers to ensure compliance with airport regulations.
- X-Ray Screening: Screen and search cabin and hold baggage to prevent prohibited items from entering the airport.
- Access Control: Manage access to the airport, ensuring only authorized personnel and passengers enter restricted areas.
- Patrolling: Conduct regular foot patrols of airside and landside areas to maintain a secure environment.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, providing assistance and support as needed.
- Body Searches: Conduct body searches on female passengers and staff members, ensuring their safety and security.
- Competitive Pay: Earn £10.60 per hour, rising to £11.10 upon completion of x-ray training.

To work at any of our aviation sites, an airside pass is essential. We can provide this for you, provided you meet the following requirements:
- 5-Year Checkable Background: Possess a 5-year checkable background, including employment, self-employment, career gaps, benefits, and education.
- CRC, Access NI, and CTC Clearance: Pass a CRC, Access NI, and CTC (Counter Terrorism Check) as part of the airside pass application.
- Colour-Blind Test: Pass a colour-blind test, ensuring you can effectively perform your duties.
