About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Correspondence and Appeals Officer to join our team at the London Borough of Newham. As a key member of our Parking Service, you will be responsible for ensuring that Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) enquiries and representations are responded to within statutory timeframes and in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and respond to PCN representations, appeals, and enquiries in line with legislation and council policies.
  • Prepare case summaries and evidence packs for adjudication hearings.
  • Manage your own caseload and support other team members as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with previous experience of working within the Parking industry and dealing with Parking-related correspondence and/or complaints. However, training will be provided. You will need to have excellent IT and administration skills, as well as a genuine commitment to first-class customer service.
