We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Officer to join our dynamic team at Nottingham City Council. As an Environmental Health Officer, you will play a crucial role in regulating activities that impact air quality, land contamination, and public health.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Regulate activities that impact air quality, land contamination, and public health.
  • Conduct inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with environmental health legislation.
  • Provide specialist supervision to ensure our services meet statutory requirements and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

**Requirements:**

  • Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Environmental Health with EHRB certification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Strong background in applying environmental health legislation, conducting inspections, leading investigations, and working with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: Extensive understanding of Environmental Health enforcement, with a specialisation in areas like housing standards, food safety, or environmental protection.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, team development, and report-writing abilities. A commitment to equality and effective service delivery is essential.
