Financial Manager EMEA

Wasserman is a global leader in sports, music, entertainment, and culture. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our EMEA team in London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial and management services to ensure an efficient, accurate, and timely financial and management accounting function. This includes delivering an excellent standard of client service, compliance with external regulatory and reporting obligations, internal management reporting processes, and deadlines.
The Financial Manager will be responsible for:
- Ownership of Corporate, Central, and Direct cost centers for month-end reporting
- Follow structured monthly close and reconciliation review process to complete a month-end close within five business days
- Collaborate with Financial Controller to ensure balance sheet reconciliations are correctly prepared across EMEA via account certifications on Workday
- Ownership of statutory reporting books and associated reconciliations in Workday
- Assist Financial Controller in evaluating, developing, implementing, and documenting new accounting policies and procedures to respond to changes in GAAP, tax, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinates and manages the day-to-day annual group, UK, and EMEA audits, ensuring deadlines are achieved and a high standard of working papers and supporting documentation provided, including preparation and review of statutory accounts
- Ensure full compliance for tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes in the EMEA region
- Manages accounting integration of acquisitions and/or new business ventures and quickly establishes robust financial controls and aligns to group accounting policies
- Maintain strong financial controls and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner
- Identify potential process efficiencies and contribute towards a high standard, continuous improvement culture
- Develop super-user expertise for the company global accounting software, Workday, and use system capabilities to streamline and improve processes
Requirements:
- 7+ years PQE with a recognized UK professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or overseas equivalent or demonstrate expertise in a similar role
- Minimum of 7+ years in accounting roles with a minimum of 4+ years at management accountant level
- Demonstrable success in a senior accounting role with International affiliate experience
- Experience of managing and supervising an accounting team, including setting objectives and conducting annual appraisals
- Ability to multi-task effectively without losing quality. Tenacious, persistent, and highly motivated with advanced organizational, analytical, and people management skills
- Experience working in Sports/Talent industry (desirable)
- Experience working in a multi-national company
- Experience of Workday ERP (desirable)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications specifically with Excel. Ideally Pivot tables & VLOOKUPs
