Graduate in Food Science or Chemistry - Rheology Focus

The Microstructure Team dedicated to Food and Beverage examines the rheological characteristics of food substances to assess texture and their physical behavior under various forces. This includes analyzing the rheological attributes of raw ingredients, intermediate products like batters and doughs, as well as final consumables.

This position will primarily assist the Senior Scientist within the team, engaging in diverse laboratory analyses utilizing equipment such as X-ray micro-CT, rheometers, texture analyzers, DSC, and viscosity meters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a range of laboratory analyses employing various techniques with instruments including X-ray micro-CT, rheometers, texture analyzers, DSC, and viscosity meters.
  • Execute tasks related to quality assurance processes, including equipment calibration and document reviews.
  • Maintain precise laboratory records, compute results, compile data for reports, and generate comprehensive documentation.
  • Adhere to established business management protocols in all work-related activities.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to advance food and beverage science.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Food Science.
  • Demonstrated experience in an analytical laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge of rheology, textural analysis, surface science, imaging methodologies, and/or NIR (Near Infrared) techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis related to the aforementioned fields and familiarity with statistical evaluation methods.
  • A proactive and positive attitude is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
