Graduate in Food Science or Chemistry - Rheological Analysis
The Microstructure Team at Campden BRI focuses on the rheological characteristics of food substances to assess their texture and physical behavior under various forces. This includes studying the rheological attributes of raw ingredients, intermediate products like batters and doughs, as well as finished goods.
Role Overview
- Support the Senior Scientist by conducting a range of laboratory analyses utilizing instruments such as X-ray micro-CT, rheometers, texture analyzers, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and viscosity meters.
- Engage in quality assurance tasks, including equipment calibration and document reviews.
- Maintain precise laboratory records, compute results, compile data for reports, and generate comprehensive documentation.
- Adhere to established business management protocols in all work aspects.
- Contribute innovative ideas to advance food and beverage science.
Qualifications
- A degree in food science or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in an analytical laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of rheology, textural analysis, surface science, imaging methods, and/or Near Infrared (NIR) techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis related to the aforementioned areas and familiarity with statistical methodologies.
- A proactive and positive attitude is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
