Job Overview

Graduate in Food Science or Chemistry - Rheological Analysis

The Microstructure Team within the Food and Drink sector focuses on analyzing the rheological characteristics of food substances to assess their texture and physical behavior under various forces. This includes the examination of raw materials, intermediate products like batters and doughs, as well as finished goods.

In this position, you will primarily assist the Senior Scientist by conducting various laboratory analyses utilizing advanced instruments such as X-ray micro-CT, rheometers, texture analyzers, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and viscosity meters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute a diverse range of laboratory analyses employing techniques with instruments including X-ray micro-CT, rheometers, texture analyzers, DSC, and viscosity meters.
  • Engage in quality assurance tasks such as equipment calibration and document reviews.
  • Maintain precise laboratory records, compute results, compile data for reports, and generate comprehensive documentation.
  • Adhere to established business management protocols in all work-related activities.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to advance food and beverage science.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in an analytical laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge of rheology, textural analysis, surface science, imaging methodologies, and/or Near Infrared (NIR) techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis related to the aforementioned techniques and familiarity with statistical analysis methods.
  • A proactive and positive attitude is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
