Job Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure high-quality radiographic standards are maintained by self and others within the team.
  • Set, monitor, and maintain standards of care to improve patient experience and outcomes.
  • Proactively manage risk and maintain patient safety, adhering to health, safety, and security legislation, policies, and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and healthcare workers to ensure appropriate dissemination of complex information.
  • Manage the service in a safe and effective manner, including personnel, facilities, and associated systems and processes.
  • Deliver and coordinate care through professional practice, delegation, and supervision of duties carried out by staff within the team.
  • Participate in development, education, and training of staff and students.
Person Specification
  • Professional qualification in radiography (DCR or Radiography degree).
  • HCPC registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification (appropriate to post).
Desirable Criteria
  • Attendance at study days and conferences.
  • Management experience.
