Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for making autonomous clinical decisions about the assessment, treatment, and discharge of service users whose problems are managed by psychologically based care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family, or group.
- Undertake complex risk assessment and risk management for individual service users and provide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing, complex highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to service users, their families, carers, and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, and inpatient settings.
