Clinical Pharmacist

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a clinical pharmacist in a dynamic and forward-thinking General Practice. The role combines patient-facing, analytical, and administrative elements of work, providing a challenging and varied experience.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will be working in a large coastal practice, serving a population of around 11,000 patients. The role will involve conducting face-to-face and remote medication reviews with patients, answering medication-related queries, optimising medicines to manage chronic diseases, and managing acute medication requests.
The clinical pharmacist will also be responsible for medicines reconciliation, audit work, and liaising with the established PCN pharmacy team. The practice offers support for learning and professional development through regular team meetings and opportunities to develop the role according to individual skills and interests.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Commitment to annual revalidation requirements
- Good clinical pharmacy knowledge
- Self-motivation and proactivity
- Prescribing qualification or commitment to working towards this
Desirable qualifications include experience of working in a GP Practice, clinical diploma or further post-graduate qualifications, and familiarity with GP Clinical systems including EMIS Web.
