Job Overview

The Healthcare Administration Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Assistant Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Medical Administration and Reception team. This role is pivotal in providing leadership and support to ensure that all administrative and reception tasks are executed efficiently and uphold the standards and values of the organization. In addition to fulfilling the primary responsibilities of a Medical Administrator, the Supervisor will assist in training and developing the team to meet their objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the initial point of contact for team members seeking assistance with front desk operations or challenging inquiries, thereby alleviating the daily pressures faced by the Assistant Practice Manager.

- Offer guidance and direction to team members as necessary.

- Ensure that all updates and changes are communicated effectively to the Medical Administrators and Receptionists, maintaining current written guidance on TeamNet and other communication platforms.

- Assist the Assistant Practice Manager in the structured induction and training of new staff members.

- Identify ongoing training needs and ensure that appropriate training and guidance are provided to team members as required.

- Support the Assistant Practice Manager in conducting regular team meetings.

- Represent the team's ideas, questions, and concerns during practice meetings.

- Collaborate with the Rota Manager to organize coverage for unexpected staff absences, ensuring adequate support during such times.

- Appropriately escalate issues to the Assistant Practice Manager.

- Engage in weekly or monthly discussions with the Assistant Practice Manager to address any areas of concern.
