Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Manager to lead our research portfolio and ensure the efficient set up and management of research studies across Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust (OHFT). The successful candidate will develop strategies and models to support the delivery of research studies in line with National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) guidelines and national policies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the procedures involved in the set up and delivery of research studies, including confirmation of capacity and capability, contract signature, Research Passports, Letters of Access, and Amendments.
  • Provide authoritative advice to investigators and ensure compliance with regulations and governance, including the Research Governance Framework, Good Clinical Practice, and related guidance.
  • Work in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and provide guidance and support to researchers to determine which approvals are needed for studies.
  • Perform sponsorship reviews of IRAS applications and associated documents for new studies and amendments.
  • Manage the data collection for R&D Reporting and compliance, including Studyline and Siteline.
  • Manage, lead, and develop staff, and ensure all mandatory training and appraisals are carried out in line with OHFT requirements.
  • Assist in the development of protocols, participant information sheets, consent forms, and other essential documents where required.
